2 movies and celebration

so....  i don't know if you've heard, but there is a new spiderman movie coming out and i'm super excited!!!! i love spiderman!  favorite superhero ever!  i would go the day it comes out {july 3rd}, but i will be gone...  so i'll just have to see it when i come back!  so excited!  i'll tell you all about it.

also, i've really wanted to see brave lately.  {you know that new disney movie with the redhead from scottland...}  yeah, it looks pretty great.

and also, tonight in downtown mesa, they are having their annual 4th of july celebration!  it's really great.  they display old cars,  pretty much all of their stores are open, and they have fireworks at 9:30!  welp, i'm going with my cousin tonight and i'm so stoked!

chocolate icy colds

so these "icy colds" have been one of my favorites ever since my mom started making them .  {which may have been since before i was born...}  they are a chocolatey goodness and are perfect for the hot az summers!  {or anywhere else in the summertime}  so, here's the recipe!

chocolate icy colds

serves 2-3 people

ingredients

2 big glasses of crushed ice

milk

chocolate syrup

directions

pour the ice in

pour enough milk to match the ice level in

pour lots {and i mean LOTS} of choco syrup in

blend it all together leaving it with plenty of small chunks of ice

sounds good right?  it's not.  it's great!  here are some pics.

it's officially summer!  {according to the calendar... and the earth, anyways.}  but according to me, it's been hot enough to be summer since early may, maybe even april.  but that's coming from an arizonan.

orange-banana smoothie!

so for breakfast today, i made one of these delicious things.

yeah.  it was yummy...  so i though i'd give you the recipe!

ORANGE – BANANA SMOOTHIE  {serves 1}

INGREDIENTS: 
- 1 banana

- ¾ - 1 cup of orange juice

-5 ounce container of vanilla greek yogurt

BLEND ALL INGREDIENTS UNTIL SMOOTH.

{note:  i used 1 cup of oj and that was a little too much for me, that's why i wrote 3/4 cup.}

cake cookies!!!!

ok, so these are about the best cookies ever!!!!!  i love them.  we have made them so much in my family and last night my friend, hannah, and i made some!!!  so, i thought i might document it for ya'll.

ok, so here is the recipe.  i got it from here, but our family does them a lil' bit different.

cake cookies!!!!!

Ingredients:

1 package of cake mix

1 egg

1/4 of oil

1/4 of water

(optional) 1 cup of chocolate chips, nuts, etc.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F

Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water.  Beat until well blended. 

Stir in remaining ingredient(s)

Put on greased cookie sheet

Bake for 15 minutes or until done

Let cool slightly and enjoy! 

yeah, the linked recipe says it makes about four dozen, but they do them tiny!!!!  {pshh... by the teaspoon,} we do them this size.

TRESemmé split remedy

i love this shampoo.  like i've said before i get horrible split ends, but this shampoo and conditioner has helped tons!  seriously it's miracle stuff.  i haven't used any of the other fancy shmancy mumbo jumbo things in the picture, but trust me, the shampoo and conditioner works just fine without the rest {although, it may be nice to have}.  i could, literally go on for-ever about how freakin' awesome it is.  but i won't.

it claims that after just 3 washes, 80% of your split ends will be gone, and it's true!  even after 1 wash i saw serious results!  i'm in love.  it makes your hair feel so soft and amazing and wonderful.

welp, that's it!  i hope you try it out!  because like i've said a million times, it's amazin'!
