8th grader.

so.... tomorrow i start 8th grade.  i'm excited.  but i don't want to do the homework.  {who does?}  but anyways, i thought i would write down my goals for this {school} year:

- finish the book of mormon again {i just finished it for the first time today!!}  oh.  and i want to mark my progress with the beauty above.

- establish my own little workout every day {or every other}  get fit.

-grow out my hair.  period.

- do fabulous in algebra.  my first high school credit.  oh great.

- get in better touch with the world of fashion.  be a fashionista.

- gain followers to this blog.  my goal is 20 right now.  c'mon we can do it!  spread the word.  please?

cake cookies!!!!

ok, so these are about the best cookies ever!!!!!  i love them.  we have made them so much in my family and last night my friend, hannah, and i made some!!!  so, i thought i might document it for ya'll.

ok, so here is the recipe.  i got it from here, but our family does them a lil' bit different.

cake cookies!!!!!

Ingredients:

1 package of cake mix

1 egg

1/4 of oil

1/4 of water

(optional) 1 cup of chocolate chips, nuts, etc.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F

Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water.  Beat until well blended. 

Stir in remaining ingredient(s)

Put on greased cookie sheet

Bake for 15 minutes or until done

Let cool slightly and enjoy! 

yeah, the linked recipe says it makes about four dozen, but they do them tiny!!!!  {pshh... by the teaspoon,} we do them this size.

last day of school!!!!!

{welp, it is now!!!! :)}

welp, yesterday folks was the last day of school until august.  i'm so happy/excited!  a little bit sad fits in there somewhere....  {only because i will miss all of my friends [especially you anna!] and well, i can't believe i am saying this, some teachers, too.}  but, anywhoooo, it has been a great year!  i remember the first day of school, i wasn't that nervous until i stepped out of the car and started walking away.  i was thinking... ok, where the heck do i go from here?!  i was so freaked!  but i was fine and not even late to any of my classes.  {except i think i was late to math the second day....}

but, congrats to my graduating seventh grade year!  we made it!  we got through our first year of junior high fine and now we're off to the top of the school!  the big dogs!  {or should i say cats?}  no more being a "sevie!"  {for the record, i was always proud of being a sevie, i almost said thank you to the "eighties" every time!  hee hee.}  go sabercats!!!

congrats to anyone else graduating from anything!  {12th grade, 6th grade, 8th grade, kindergarten...}

so, surely, many of you had heard of the band, one direction, otherwise known as, "1D..."  welp, i freakin' love 'em.  here is a pic, with names, ages, birthdates, and all:

the first time i heard of them, was on the today show and i thought, "ew.  a boy band... and they sound like the backstreet boys."  {not that i have anything against the backstreet boys, it's just... i don't really like boy bands... usually...}  the song i heard them sing was "one thing," {which by the way i love the music video for...}  it sounds like "i want it that way." {by the backstreet boys...  see where i made that match?}  

but then my sister and i were in the car and "what makes you beautiful" {i like this music video too...} turned on...  and let's just say... by the end of the song i was singing along...  but i still didn't like them enough to say i was "dedicated" {see here} to them.  but then i looked them up and i fell farther and farther and, like i said... i freakin' love 'em now.  aren't they cute?
