Christmas Adam.

My friend, Jill, told me today was "Christmas Adam" today.  Makes sense right?  Tomorrow's Christmas Eve, so...  yeah.

Anywho, today was an awesome day!

We had a seriously awesome Sunday School lesson.  We watched a Christmas video and then shared our thoughts about what the Savior has done for us in our lives.  It was so amazing.

And then in Young Women's, all the Branch leaders gave a truly amazing lesson.  I was so touched.

And after that, in Sacrament Meeting, it was the Ward Choir Christmas Program!  And I was part of it!  It was so beautiful.  So glad I was in it.

Anyway, this was my Christmas outfit.  I know, it's not in Christmas colors, but black and white is wintery enough, right?

so last night ended up being pretty great, instead of turning out like what i thought.

a couple of my friends called me up and wanted me to come.  they finally convinced me by playing the first verse of live while we're young, and then telling me "liam is waiting for you!"

so i through together a costume.  i put my nerd glasses on and taped a piece of paper to my shirt that said, "i love math."

so i arrived at kallee's neighborhood gate, and they were all right there, so we left to walk to another neighborhood.  on the way, we saw 2 racing cars.  way to be safe on halloween buckos.

we went around trick or treating and at one house this girl's hubby loved my costume.  i've found a fellow math lover!  haha! 

then we we went to one of our leader's house.  she told us there were some boys from our grade in the backyard.  and if you know me, i was all, "let's go!"  haha.  i honestly don't care what boys they are, i will talk to them if i get a chance.  haha!  so we went into their backyard and we were all, "party crashers!"  yeah.  we crashed a party.  {of about 5 people.}  YOLO.  then, we played some intense ping-pong {which i lost.  haha!}

then we went to a few more houses sat on a curb and talked for a while.  then walked home.  we experienced quite a lot for us new to the teen world.  one person in a car screamed at us, not like mad or anything, but they just, you know, sreamed.  it actually scared me!  and then these other scary people passed by and threw a frozen. hot. dog. at. us.  and it hit stephanie!  and she said it hurt!  we ran all the way back to keekee's after that.

when we got back to kallee's we me made some popcorn and then left.  overall, it was an epic night.

community ramen bowl

yesterday, my stake had our annual "day of service."  my group painted a cinder-block fence for the city.  we got a lot of honks of appreciation {i hope} and one random kid yell, "i love you!!" out of his car at us.  haha!!  :D

then, later that night we had trunk or treat, which really wasn't trunk or treat at all.  the kids paraded through a "parent tunnel" as they passed out candy.  then at the very end, my friends and i decided to go through.  so, i actually got candy!!  score!  then afterwards, i went to keekee's house and i might have been on a sugar high and also super slap-happy at the same time.  take this randomness for example:

yesterday was kind of a great day.

first of all, it was neon day!!!

then, i got to put up a video on the anouncements. in vj with my friend sami g.  i started the video with a girl who loves jb and ended up finishing it with sami g because she had to work on a different vid.

later, my friend and i got to discuss our beliefs with another girl through the strength of youth.  i love it when those kind of things happen.  it's amazing.

at lunch, since it was a spirit day, they played music!  i almost cried, even though they do that every spirit day.  but anyways, when music is played at school, you're gonna get some people to dance.  bahahaha.  it was great.  they played as long as you love me, live while we're young, and of course, gangnam style.  i screamed when all of them turned on.  haha.  :D

then after school, i went to liz's house.  we practiced her lines for her play, while watching psych.  what up.

and last, i went to hannah's b-day party!  super fun!

general conference

so, uh, general conference was pretty great.

i think it's so great about the age changes.  i think it means that missionary work is going to really take off.  a lot.

i love general conference.  it's 8 hours every sixth months of awesome talks by the prophet and his apostles from my church.  it's so amazing.  i especially love president uchtdorf's talks.  he's so wonderful.  and i love all of his quotes.

this week has been pretty great.  let's start with last friday.

and because she was getting married.  my sister's family got to come from utah!  it was great to see them all.  :D

mutual. was. great.  it was a "modest is hottest" {you know it!} fashion show!!!!  all the laurel models were so sassy cute!  but before they modeled, we got to skype one of our leader's relatives.  and just let me tell you, he was a cutie.  a sophmore.  plays soccer.  pretty great right?  but before we skyped him, they had handed us questions on modesty and i thought i was just going to read it in front of the yw.  nope!  i got to go up to the computer and ask him, "when thinking about a future girl you want to take to the temple, describe what she is like in both appearance and dress.."  how awkward, right?  haha.  jk.  it was great.  he was cute. it was all good.

totally realized how much of a teen i am.  {i've been realizing this lately.}  i've been waiting my whole life to become a teenager, like my 8 other siblings..., and now i am!  and it blows my mind.  i went over to my friend rebekah's house for a science project and ended up staying there until, like, 10.  seriously the latest i've ever stayed at a friends house on a school night.  {other than one sleep over.}  what a teen.

last day of announcements. super stressy.  hilarious.  and a bit embarrassing.  {like i said, more to come...}

also, my daddy and i went on a daddy-daughter date.  because i didn't really want to go to the daddy-daughter camp out.  {i know, i'm cray-cray.}  we went to the arizona sea life aquarium.  it was fun.  here are some pics.

there was this super old dinosaur shark jaw sculpture {at least i think it was a sculpture...}  and it was perfect for pictures.

{you have to give the shark a kiss, right?  hahahaha.  [dad told me to kiss it, so i did!]}

the aquarium happened to be in az mills mall.  and my favorite part of malls, is always the gumball machines.  {haha.}  i bought 2 and just had to get a pic.

and now my life and blog is all {or mostly...}  all caught up.  {sorry for the long post...}  it was a great week.

home sweet home!

oh goodness guys.  i am absolutely obsessed with my aunt and uncle's cabin.  it's huge!!!  and it's so nice.  i could live up there if they'd let me.  haha.  but anyways, it was great.  i talked with my aunts and uncles that all went up there.  and i played my guitar in the woods like a babe.  haha.  {so far, not very many people think i'm that funny when i say that, but i think i'm hilarious!  ahahaha.}  and then, my cousin, calla, came up and we had so much fun jumping off landings onto this huge beanbag, laying on hammocks, and looking at my seventh grade yearbook.  it was great!  ...but how's this to ruin it all.

i got sick.

  

i got the flu!  it was horrible!  i still managed to have a lot of fun with it, but my whole trip consisted of coughing, hacking, sneezing, hiding my cold nose under blankets and feeling so achey at some points i just didn't think i could move.  oh.  and then on the way home, my ears wouldn't pop the whole way, so i could barely hear anything.  and sometimes, they started to hurt.

but now, i'm home.  but still feeling sick.  so i couldn't go to church.  which made me sad, but that's probably best, because i desperately need a shower and i wouldn't have had any time to do that before church.  {we decided to stay until this morning...}

anyways.... pictures coming soon!  {not very many, the battery died.  :( }

oh well, i'll probably go get in the shower now.  if i can find the energy to do so.

8th grader.

so.... tomorrow i start 8th grade.  i'm excited.  but i don't want to do the homework.  {who does?}  but anyways, i thought i would write down my goals for this {school} year:

- finish the book of mormon again {i just finished it for the first time today!!}  oh.  and i want to mark my progress with the beauty above.

- establish my own little workout every day {or every other}  get fit.

-grow out my hair.  period.

- do fabulous in algebra.  my first high school credit.  oh great.

- get in better touch with the world of fashion.  be a fashionista.

- gain followers to this blog.  my goal is 20 right now.  c'mon we can do it!  spread the word.  please?

p.s.  i got to see my locker today.  i honestly think it is in the best spot ever.  :D

pioneer day trip: day 1

so, my pioneer day trip {even though we weren't there for pioneer day...} consisted of lots.  {that i am going to be telling you about over the next few days}  there was a ton of cowboy, one direction, and missionary obsessing.  some hair mishaps and lots of teenage giggling.  oh and a whole bunch of eating.  {how i didn't gain a hundred pounds... i will never know.}  :D  here i go.

so, on thursday the 19th at around 10:30-am-ish.  my mum and i left to go pick up my cousin, shelbie.  after we got her in the car is when our trip officially started.  we listened to music and talked until we arrived at wendy's {somewhere around miami or globe, arizona...}  there is, obviusly, where we ate our lunch.  we then got back into the car and soon arrived at my grandma's place in pima.  {such a great town.}  the second we got in the house we got ready in our sunday best and left to the gila valley temple {which by the way is beautiful} to do baptisms.

it was great.  very different from the way the do it in the mesa one.  {even though, i guess i should have known.  this is the temple i did my first baptisms in.}  oh.  and it was my first time doing family names.

when we got home shelbie and i got in our pjs and decided to watch a movie in our room.  {she brought her portable dvd player.}  we picked out the movie inception.  so we got on our bed, got comfortable, and turned it on.  it was amazing.  by far one of the best movies i've ever seen.  very confusing, but i got it.  {with the help of asking questions....  wow those things are lifesavers.}

after that we pretty much just chilled.  and ate.

and i don't know what we did exactly, for like 6 1/2 hours, probably talking and tv watching... but we ended up going to bed at, like, 2.  it was pretty ridiculous.

welp, more coming up tomorrow!  and i seriously suggest watching inception.  just know it's pg-13.  and that some of those actors need to watch their language.

pioneer day!

k, so every year my mum, cousin, and i go on a trip to my grandma's house in pima, arizona for a pioneer day parade and fireworks!!!  we are leaving for it today and i'm super-duper excited!!!!  i can't wait!  :D  be ready for a post about it when we get home!!!!

girl's camp 2012

so.... on monday {tomorrow} i leave for girl's camp and i'm freaking stoked!!!!!!  it was so fun last year {my first year} and i can't wait to see what fun things we will be doing this time.
